Ride for Life
flowerRide for Life will be making their 9th annual Ride this year beginning Friday, April 28th in Manhattan ending on Sunday, May 7th in Montauk, Long Island. Each year, the Ride makes an annual donation of $5,000 to the Columbia ALS Clinic. This year the Ride research committee headed by patient Norma Steck-Hess, a Columbia clinic patient, funded a $25,000 grant to Dr. Gordon in support of a new combination drug clinical trial in ALS.

Golf for Life
The Second Annual “Golf for Life” Outing is scheduled to take place on Monday, June 5, 2006 at the Rockaway River Country Club in Denville, New Jersey. This very special event organized by the family of Carol Spina, raised over $200,000 last year with a fantastic day of golf, followed by a cocktail hour, dinner, and Silent Auction. All of the proceeds go directly to the Eleanor and Lou Gehrig MDA/ALS Research Center.

MDA’s Wings Over Wall Street
The Muscular Dystrophy Association is the world leader among voluntary agencies in fighting ALS.
