Abbe Simon, CCC-SLP

Speech language pathologist at the ALS Center , Ms. Simon evaluates and provides treatment for speech, language, and swallowing disorders.  She has experience with augmentative and alternative communication devices, specializes in the care for adults with neurogenic communication and/or swallowing dysfunction, treats individuals with progressive neuromuscular disease to provide exercises, strategies, eating, swallowing guidelines, and counseling with patients and their caregivers. She also performs direct swallow examinations including Modified Barium Swallow Studies and Flexible Endoscopic Examination of Swallowing with Sensory Testing to provide diet and swallowing recommendations to ensure adequate and safe nutritional intake.
